Will my radio controlled clock reset itself? |
I have a radio shack radio controlled clock and the batteries went out on it. I put in new batteries but the time has not reset yet. I put in the new batteries about two hours ago. Will it eventually reset on its own or is there some way that I can set it?
Hiya.
The clock should set itself. You might need to remove the batteries for a while before reinserting them, so that any current is fully discharged.
If the clock doesnt set itself, try moving it to another area.
Some clocks have 2 metal pins on the back, this is a reset feature and you can activate it by connecting them with something metalic such as a paperclip or the end of a spoon.
Other clocks such as digital clocks you may have to press and hold down the buttons to reset it.
Consult your manual or obtain one off the internet if you have lost it, but its usualy one of the simple fixes i described above.
This is the first prototype of a self-made radio controlled LED clock. I turned the clock upside down so that you can see the wiring and the components.
